The short version

Your questions

To answer you, the text of your question, recent messages in the same chat and relevant information from eduport.app and shop.eduport.app are sent to our AI provider, which generates the answer. Our current provider is Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). We ask you not to type personal details into the chat; if a message contains a phone number, an Aadhaar-like number, a card number or an email address, we remove it before the message is processed or stored.

While your chat is open, it is held in our servers' short-term memory so follow-up questions make sense. It expires after two hours without activity and is not kept as an account history.

Voice questions

If you use the microphone button, your browser's own speech service (for example Google's in Chrome, or Apple's in Safari) turns your voice into text under that provider's privacy terms. Ask Eduport only receives the resulting text. You can always type instead.

When you share your WhatsApp number

If you ask for fee details, a counsellor call, cashback details or more free doubts, we ask for your WhatsApp number and send a one-time code through WhatsApp (Meta) to confirm it. After you confirm, we store your name (if given), your number, the class, board, goal and district you chose, what you asked for, the date and wording of your consent, and a short summary of the topics you asked about. If you tick "share this chat", we also keep the recent messages of that chat so the counsellor doesn't have to ask again.

This information is used only by Eduport and its counselling team to contact you about Eduport courses and admissions. It may be passed to the customer-relationship tool Eduport uses to manage enquiries. It is not sold.

Children

Many of our visitors are under 18. If a student tells us they are under 18, we ask for a parent's or guardian's WhatsApp number instead of theirs, send the code to that number, and record the parent's or guardian's consent.

Keeping the service safe

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is starting a chat, and we limit how many messages can be sent from one network. For this we use your IP address, which we store only as a one-way scrambled code for a short time. Our server logs automatically hide phone numbers, email addresses and verification codes.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visitor numbers, page views, referring websites, approximate countries and device types. It does not use cookies. Chat messages and contact details are not sent as analytics events, and we remove query strings and fragments from page URLs before sending them.

Storage in your browser

Ask Eduport doesn't set cookies. It remembers your language choice (English or Malayalam) in your browser's local storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Your choices

You can ask Eduport to stop contacting you, or to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you, by writing to hello@eduport.app or calling +91 92079 98855. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
